About Us

Keystone Rotary Club along with its international partners are addressing the needs of individuals with disabilities in Tanzania.  Our program, Build-A-Chair, is supervised by local Rotarian and physiotherapist, Shedrack Domingo.  The need is great and the investment is small.

Shedrack Domingo

Shedrack is a physiotherapist who runs the EPT clinic in Moshi, Tanzania and also serves as  the project manager for the Build-A-Chair Initiative.  With his knowledge of physiotherapy coupled with his training in wheelchair technology, he is the ideal person to make certain our initiative is serving the right people.   This initiative has been successful due to his commitment to helping individuals with disabilities in the Kilimanjaro region of Africa.

Community impact

Our program is positively impacting the local community by using local wheelchair technologists to build customized wheelchairs, that fit both the client and the terrain. The parts are local, the repairs are local.  A seamstress helps to make the pressure cushions for the wheelchairs.  We are investing in the community!
